Music Tuition

All children will be taught music as part of the national curriculum. At Priestmead we have an external company, that provides our music provision. We offer music tuition for a variety of instruments which your child can take up from year 2. In addition we provide music clubs after school for children in Reception to Year 6.

Instruments on offer at Priestmead: Violin / Guitar /Piano / Keyboard / Drums

Pupils will be offered 33 weeks of music lessons over the academic year.  Children may only learn ONE instrument, we are offering two options: 

Option 1,           2 - 4 in a group:               No more than 4 pupils in a group 

Option 2,           1 - 1:                               These will be one to one lessons 

[Please note Piano lessons will only be offered 1:1]

The instrumental lessons will take place during the school day in term time, between the hours of 08.30 and 15.30. 

Please note

• When enrolling, parents are committing to pay for their child to study for the whole academic year (September 2023 – July 2024).
• Lessons will be paid for in 3 equal payments, one in each term.
• Due to limited places, priority will be given to current year 3-6.
• Any late applications may still be accepted depending on availability.
• You will be asked to pay a term payments to secure your place.
