How do you apply for a place at Priestmead?

First, why not come and visit us!

We do a Prospective Parent/Carer tour on set Monday's from 9am-10am.  If you would like to have a tour with the Headteacher, just phone the office on 020 8907 5434 or email office@priestmead.theppt.co.uk. 

We take round no more than 12 parents/carers at a time to enable us to give a more personal experience, please note the tour is for adults only.

95% school population live within the red area shown in the map.  This helps to create a close community.

However, there are exceptions who live slightly further, defined by the orange areas.

Our Published Admission Number (PAN) for Reception is 120 children over four classes. We have 52 children in our Nursery, 12 children in our Rainbow Resource and 840 children in Reception to Y6.

We follow Harrow Borough’s Fair Admissions Protocol regarding oversubscription.  There is a commitment to Infant Class Sizes of 30 with two adults per class.

How do I get a place for my child in your NURSERY?

We have a 52-place Nursery for 3-4 year olds.  As part of the transition, we do home visits for new families and also a phased start so children get used to being part of our Nursery. Every child has a Keyworker who will be your point of contact.  We offer the FREE 15 hours from 8.30am-11.30am or 12.25pm-3.25pm.

* Please note we do not currently offer 30 hours places at our setting

THE ADMISSION PROCESS

To apply for a Nursery place for September 2025 you will need to:

• Complete an application form directly with Harrow Council Admissions: https://www.harrow.gov.uk/childcare/school-nurseries
• Email us directly with your supporting documents: admissions@priestmead.theppt.co.uk

You can apply for a Nursery place if your child was born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022.  The closing date for applications to be processed in the main round is: 15th January 2025.  Applications received after this date are considered late and will be processed after 15th March 2025. 

We allocate places on sibling link and distance basis.

How do I get a place for my child in your RECEPTION?  

We have 120 places each year for Reception children (our 4/5 year olds).  This is all organised through Harrow Council so you will need to contact them directly. 

You can apply for a Reception place if your child was born between 1 September 2020 and 31 August 2021.  For a place with us in SEPTEMBER 2025, you must apply online by 15TH JANUARY 2025.

How do I get a place for my child in your RAINBOW RESOURCE VILLAGE for children with SEND (ASD)?

This is organised through your child’s Education, Health & Care Plan.  For more details, talk to your Health Worker or Harrow Council’s SEN Team.  Again, this is NOT arranged directly by the school.

I have just moved to the area or I want my child to move to Priestmead, how do I do this?

Again, any in-year admissions are organised through Harrow Council, so please use the contact details above.

APPEALING A SCHOOL PLACE

You can appeal any decision made about he school place you have been offered.  Appeals will be heard on the basis of the admissions criteria.  The appeal date for Primary School for September 2025 is in May 2025.
