Meet our Local Stakeholder Associates
"I am the Headteacher for the school! I have also been the Deputy Headteacher, a newly qualified teacher and former pupil of Priestmead! I am totally committed to ensuring our school continues to be the best it can be, working on the legacy from 80 years and with the stakeholders building an exciting future!
As Headteacher I am accountable regarding performance in data, finance and strategic direction. I present termly reports as well as ongoing updates. I meet the Chair monthly and he monitors and challenges me to be the best I can be for our children."
I joined the LSG in November 2020 and look forward to playing a part in the decisions that shape the future for Priestmead.
My association with Priestmead began in 2017, when my eldest started Nursery. My youngest joined the school a year later. I am extremely proud of the work that the school does in nurturing our young ones and in the way that parents are engaged and communicated with.
I work for a Central Government Department, leading on countering fraud and have held roles previously in contract financial management and have worked on national Government IT programmes. I took a career break when my children were born and have since returned to work on a part time basis to ensure I can play a central role in their learning journey.
As a member of the LSG, I hope to be able to play a much bigger role in Priestmead’s development moving forward, representing the parent community for the benefit of all our children.
I was extremely thrilled to be selected as an LSG Parent Associate. I have three children in education, a son in High school and two daughters at Priestmead; one in Year 4 the other in Year 1.
I worked as a Civil Servant for nearly 13 years at The Insolvency Service where I held various positions until I became a PA to the Director. Unavoidably I had to leave my role after my third child. Currently I am working locally in an Accountancy Firm, this gives me the flexibility that I need and gives me the ability to be involved in my children's schooling. I volunteer to help at my children’s Sunday School as a TA to children of Year 1 age, a role I thoroughly enjoy.
My aim and objective as an LSG Parent Associate are to ensure that the school is achieving set targets and objectives. We monitor and evaluate the progress of the school and act as a source of challenge and support to the head teacher. I am very proud to be a part of this team and I hope we can make a positive impact in the term we have.
I have worked as a teacher at Priestmead Primary School since my NQT year in 2014. I have experience of working in Years 3, 4 and 6. I am currently Year Team Leader of Year 6. Previous to retraining as a teacher in 2013, I was the Executive Director of an Arts Council of England funded organisation for writers. I have two children and a dog who I love and adore!
