Meet our Local Stakeholder Associates

Sash Hamidi, Executive Headteacher/CEO

"I am the #priestmeadproud Headteacher for the school! I have also been the Deputy Headteacher, a newly qualified teacher and former pupil of Priestmead! I am totally committed to ensuring our school continues to be the best it can be, working on the legacy from 80 years and with the stakeholders building an exciting future!

As Headteacher I am accountable regarding performance in data, finance and strategic direction.  I present termly reports as well as ongoing updates.  I meet the Chair monthly and he monitors and challenges me to be the best I can be for our children."

Diviya Benning, LSG Chair & Parent Associate

I joined the LSG in November 2020 and look forward to playing a part in the decisions that shape the future for Priestmead.

My association with Priestmead began in 2017, when my eldest started Nursery.  My youngest joined the school a year later.  I am extremely proud of the work that the school does in nurturing our young ones and in the way that parents are engaged and communicated with.

I work for a Central Government Department, leading on countering fraud and have held roles previously in contract financial management and have worked on national Government IT programmes.  I took a career break when my children were born and have since returned to work on a part time basis to ensure I can play a central role in their learning journey.

As a member of the LSG, I hope to be able to play a much bigger role in Priestmead’s development moving forward, representing the parent community for the benefit of all our children.

Michelle Verity, LSG Staff Associate

I joined the LSG in October 2022 because I wanted to support Priestmead in moving forward in any way that I can.

I have worked in Education since 2008 in many different roles. I started as a Teaching Assistant in a SEND school, then mainstream, where I became a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant and also took on the role of Deputy Manager of their extended schools’ provision. This was all before qualifying as a teacher! I am passionate about education and ensuring children get the best start to life as possible and this passion has always driven my career and how I work, no matter my position.

My aim as a staff associate on the LSG is to ensure that everyone’s voice is heard and to play a role in the development of Priestmead. I am also looking forward to being a bigger part of the community and doing things that benefit all the children in the school, not just those in my classroom!

Muna Sheel, LSG Staff Associate

I joined the Priestmead family in 2014 when my daughter started in Reception. I immediately knew I had chosen the right school for her due to the welcoming environment, how parental engagement is encouraged and because safeguarding is a top priority.

I have worked in education since 2000, supporting families and also children with SEND. Most of my career to date has been spent working in the EYFS and I feel passionate about this important stage of a child's education.

I joined the LSG in January 2023 because I wanted to be involved in the strategic management of the school, to support Priestmead in moving forward.

My aim as a staff associate within the LSG is to provide a staff viewpoint and perspective  within decision making
