Executive and Associate Headteacher Welcome

Amy Creamer - Associate Headteacher

Welcome to our website!  We are a large, busy and vibrant primary located in the heart of Harrow, London. I am so proud to be the headteacher of Priestmead with a fantastic staff team, dedicated LSG (Governing Body), supportive parents and happy, engaged children.

Please read more about our incredible school from Mr Hamidi, our Executive Headteacher, below.

We welcome you to our school and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.

A warm welcome to you and thank you for visiting our website!  Priestmead Primary is the founder of The Pegasus Partnership Trust in collaboration with The Welldon Park Academy.  We work together as a partnership to develop best practice for children, develop and retain high-quality staff and commit to putting Children First.

Priestmead Primary School and Nursery is becoming one of the largest schools in Harrow. However, we also pride ourselves in still having the close, community feel of a smaller school. We talk about

“joining the Priestmead Family” and "it takes a village to raise a child"

whether you are an existing or a new member of staff, parent, carer, child or visitor, we want you to feel an integral part of what we do at Priestmead.

So what do we do?

We are fortunate to have a brand new building (January 2017) with a large playing field and large playground and artifical grass pitch as well as a beautiful park next to us aptly called Priestmead Park!  We are well resourced and provide excellent learning opportunities for all children.  We are very proud of our Rainbow Resource Village, where we ensure children with SEN (Autism) are valued and included in school life.

Our belief is that learning must be meaningful and purposeful – children will never come back to Priestmead in 10 years time to talk about a great worksheet or test paper they did!  However, they will leave feeling inspired by residential trips, outdoor learning, a curriculum that is relevant to them and they will have a passion for learning throughout their life. There is no “ceiling” on the achievements of children at Priestmead!

As Primary educators, we believe it is our job to open minds and encourage children to think

“What If?”…

What if they wanted to be our next Prime Minister?

Compose music or songs to inspire people all over the world?

Or to find the cure for cancer?

Or even design the next generation of Smartphones?

We want all our children to believe in themselves and believe they can make a difference to the world.  We want them to take risks, make good mistakes so they can learn, be confident and have the skills to succeed not just in school, but in life.

As the Executive Headteacher and a former pupil of Priestmead, I am incredibly excited about the journey ahead.  We have lots to do and we know we are not perfect, but I and our Priestmead team are enthused, excited and totally committed to ensuring every child at Priestmead achieves personal bests in all that they do, time and time again.

But, we can only do this in partnership with YOU, hence our school motto:

'Onwards and Upwards'

We look forward to meeting you!

We have tried to arrange our website including a Frequently Asked Question section to help you.
